Physical Therapist Uniform Design
A physical therapist uniform design project extending Yonsei Physio Home Rehabilitation Center's brand identity into apparel. An embroidered emblem patch in the brand's signature navy (#215786) was developed and applied to scrub uniforms, transforming staff into mobile brand assets that instantly convey trust and professionalism during home visits.

Yonsei Physio Physical Therapist Uniform Design
In home rehabilitation, a single therapist is the face of the entire clinic. We design that first impression.

Background
In Home Rehabilitation, "People" Are the Brand — Not the Space
In a typical clinic, the physical space is the brand stage — interior, signage, reception desk all communicate the brand. Home rehabilitation is different. Patients don't come to the clinic; the therapist comes to the patient. A patient's living room becomes the treatment space, and a single therapist's appearance becomes the brand itself.
The Limits of Generic Medical Uniforms
Off-the-shelf medical uniforms make it impossible to identify which clinic a staff member belongs to. From the patient's side, this creates subtle uncertainty. From the brand's side, hard-earned trust dissolves at the apparel layer.
Design Strategy
1. Embroidered Emblem — Not Print, but Lasting Trust
The brand logo was rendered as an embroidered patch rather than a print.
- Wash durability — Medical uniforms are washed daily. Prints crack and peel, but embroidery holds its form across hundreds of washes.
- Tactile depth — The dimensional texture of embroidery instantly signals a "properly made uniform."
- Classical authority — Embroidery is the traditional visual code of medical authority, used on medical school and hospital coats.
2. Brand Color — Consistent Extension of #215786 Navy
The signature brand color #215786 navy was applied consistently across the patch outline, symbol, wordmark, and the scrub set itself. By matching the exact tone used on the website, brochure, and social content, we created a continuous experience: the brand seen online and the therapist met offline are visually connected by the same color.
3. Patch Composition — Circle + Central Symbol + Wordmark
The emblem patch follows a circular structure — the traditionally trusted form in medical and academic institutions.
- Circular border — conveys stability and authority
- Wordmark — "Yonsei Physio Home Rehabilitation Center" in Korean
- Central symbol — dimensional embroidery of the signature mark
Solid navy on a white patch base maximizes contrast, ensuring readability even from one to two meters away — the moment a patient opens the door.
4. V-Neck Scrub Set — Polished Yet Functional
The top is a V-neck scrub paired with matching navy pants. The set balances freedom of movement required for rehabilitation guidance with the professional composure expected when entering a patient's private home.
Position in the Integrated Brand Experience System
This uniform is not a standalone deliverable. Within Yonsei Physio's integrated brand system, it connects as follows:
- Online touchpoints — #215786 navy tone on the website and social channels
- Print touchpoints — Same color system across brochures
- Physical touchpoints — This uniform and embroidered patch ← current project
- Spatial touchpoints — Future expansion to clinic signage
This is the core physical touchpoint in an integrated BX system designed to deliver a unified brand impression regardless of where a patient encounters Yonsei Physio.
MEDISEENET's Perspective
"A uniform isn't clothing — it's a promise. The moment a patient's door opens, the brand must arrive already worn."
In a home rehabilitation model, the uniform isn't workwear — it's a mobile storefront. MEDISEENET treats apparel, embroidery, and color systems as brand assets, ensuring trust and professionalism are visually delivered the moment a therapist arrives at a patient's home.
